Thanks for the reminder...

Thanks for reminding us of the reason we have the freedom to engage in such crucial endeavors as debating the pros and cons of the ACC baseball tournament format, arguing as to whether or not Tommy Bowden has jumped the shark, and anticipating the unprecedented war of words when IPTAY implements the reassignment of seating in 2008.

For any who would take offense at this, I see myself as the chief offender of misplaced priorities and taking freedom for granted when I get so worked up over a lost game or an "idiot" official's missed or incorrect call. I helps to remember those who left these shores as young lives with bright hopes for a wonderful future, only to return in a flag-draped box or maimed in ways that forver alter that future. It helps to remember those still serving who wonder if the next vehicle that passes contains a deranged fanatic ready to discharge a bomb, those who can't remember a meal where sand was not the main ingredient, and those who consider the chance to sleep on asphalt a rare "treat".

God bless those who served and are serving on this Memorial Day.

The Girlfriend of a man in the Marine Corp made this for him.

It is, of course, a tribute to those in the Marine Corp that were lost in battle.
