A Gamecock attorney went duck hunting in Clemson. He finally shot his first duck. It fell on some land on the other side of a fence. The lawyer went to step over, when an old Clemson farmer pulled up on his tractor. "I hope you arent plannin' on comin' on my land" said the farmer.
The attorney stood tall and said "Sir, I'm a Columbia attorney. I'll step through to get my duck and if you try to stop me, I'll sue you for all you're worth". The old farmer explained to the coot that in Clemson we use the "three kick rule" to settle a dispute. The attorney was told that each party kicks the other party three times until one party gives up his end of the dispute.
The Gamecock agreed to practice local custom.
The old Clemson farmer said "Well, the duck's on my land...so I'll go first".
He then kicked the lawyer right in the crotch. The second kick to the gut, was so hard the lawyer lost his lunch. The final kick landed the attorney in a cowpie.
The lawyer, hurt and humbled, got to his feet. He mustered all his strength and said "OK....now it's MY turn".

The old Clemson farmer got back on his tractor and said "nah, I give up, come get your duck".
