Hillarious Gamecock encounter today...

This afternoon on the way back from Folly Beach my wife and I stopped at Sonic to get a drink. When the poor gentleman delivered our order to the car he decided he would be clever and stated "sir, I don't want to alarm you but you have a huge stain on your shirt." Obviously, I was wearing a Clemson T-shirt. Without hesitation I responded "I see your Carolina degree is serving you well" at which point I put my Lexus in reverse and headed home.
Why do they make it so easy?

Wow, really? The guy was 30ish, went out of his way to attempt to #### me off, and wasn't ready for the response. The lexus reference was simply to illustrate the difference in our two degrees.

It was funny. Why are people so sensitive these days? The person at Sonic started off with trash talk and he just came back at him. If you can't run with the big dogs, don't get off the porch. I'm also a rather nice and civil guy and leave personal insults out of arguments. Just because a guy went to another school doesn't give someone enough reason to personally insult him, it does give you the right to friendly rivalry banter.

and you really didn't say something so cruel to someone who is obviously less fortunate than you are who is trying to make an honest living. I doubt the guy has a college degree and I'm sure Sonic also hires employees under similar circumstances who root for Clemson.
In this situation, I usually try to show some humility and just laugh at what he thinks is a little joke. It shows more class if you don't stoop to his level and trade insults.

You sir are correct! While I find it humerous that I have managed to entertain or disgust as many people as I have, in reality I simply shared this response with my wife as we left the parking lot rather than attacking the USC fan.
In reality, I laughed at the comment and responded to the gentleman at Sonic "We will see you in November" and the gentleman laughed and agreed.
