Seriously... I understand the frustration. The hype was there. But can you not see that perhaps your team is one dimensional? Maybe the defenses that can stop the run will win (or have a good shot) because you do not have a great quarterback? And perhaps this took awhile to realize for the opposition to realize as the season progressed? I honestly don't know if Tommy Bowden is a good coach or not. It's really embarrasing the amount of success he has achieved agianst Carolina. I think the problem with the fans is, is that you cannot compare now to 1981-1991. It's a different place and time and SOOO much has changed. Clemson was very good at the time, but it's a different world. Wether you want to believe it or not an 8+ win season is actually pretty doggone good (or maybe only for coots). In 8 years I would be disapointed too if Clemson had not really challenged significantly for the ACC title, but it's not like the man is doing a horrible job. He has a very mediocre QB. Is Tommy just plain and simply a choke? I don't know. He's probably won just as many big games as games he shouldn't have lost. But I think he is. Bottomline: a lot of teams would love to be in your position and you should be too, because this isn't like the old days before any of your current players were even born.

- a QB to the NFL for the first time in what....2 decades
- a top 15 selection in the NFL draft from the defensive back-field
- a starting MLB that was a first or second round pro prospect
- a starting OLB that was a 4 yr starter
- 2 starters off the defensive line
- plus 2 starters on offense
All in all I think we have over performed this year given all of that.
People are pissed because they had unrealistic expectations for the season - especially after the injuries this year.

you're the same person day in and day out, testy, b*tchy, and otherwise a whiny little brat.
7-3 IS mediocre, especially with the talent we have on this team.
We're about to drop 75 MILLION f*cking bucks on stadium renovations, we pay our coach hundreds of thousands of dollars, we encourage fans to donate thousands upon thousands of dollar to fund football scholarships, yet you act like this is a high school football program with a parent booster club.
Wake up, man, for Gods sake.
7-3 is mediocre. Anything less than a ten win season (still within reach) is a dissapointment.

who said anything about quiting? Its a trend for bowden every year for the most part no acc championship and middle of the road team just like the teams i mentioned above. Maybe you need to address that question to bowden.

Merriweather played against Georgia Tech... The talent is there and it's deep. Injuries are just another excuse at this point. Without adjustment, we WILL continue to get stuffed upfront and lose, case closed, end of dicussion.
