Always a smile on I-95

I was traveling on I-95 this past weekend. For some reason, when I am on I-95 I always seem to smile as I pass Exit 53 (Walterboro Exit).

Not sure why. But, no matter the weather and no matter the traffic issues, I just seem to smile and chuckle a little bit around this exit.

Walterboro to Hardeeville. There was a (very nasty) brothel at Exit 28 truck stop. I used to work for DHEC and my office inspected the little package treatment plant there. The screens were always clogged with equal measure condoms and syringes.
I told one particularly unattractive one who propositioned me that “If all women looked like you, I’d be queer”. She got very angry. I am now old enough to feel bad about saying something so unkind.

That is where myself and all my brothers and sisters were born, and that's bc Walterboro and Colleton County is where the majority of my family is from, and that's where my mom and dad were laid to rest...

I drove by that exit Saturday. I always love seeing Clemson road near chicken town as well. I was on my way back home to Fayetteville after a fishing trip on Hartwell. My guide said he’s taken Tahj Boyd out a few times. We caught over 150lbs of a mixture of striper, hybrid, spot, largemouth, and catfish. Great day with my elderly father. Especially special considering I qualify for a senior discount nowadays. Thank you for the awareness and meaning behind the smile for walterboro exit!
