So you go on the coot board after this story breaks

May 13, 2006, 10:34 AM

and all the blame is put on Mcgee, but who was the one to give Spurrier an almost 2 million dollar contract? Coots you have to learn the concept of you buy what you can afford, dont go in debt and be made out to be a bunch of fools, wait yall are good at that. If you were smart you would have hired a coach who was younger and could build a program, Spurrier will be gone in 2 more years, and you're back to the drawing board.

Do you honestly think spurrier can't build a program?

May 13, 2006, 12:31 PM

He's got 7 years in him, and we can do it. He'll build it up much faster than any young coach would.

May 13, 2006, 12:41 PM

hahahaha, no coach in HISTORY has been able to build a good football program at usc. Why do you think that is? Has nothing to do with the coach, it has to do with the school, the atmosphere, the FANS, the city. THey are all pretty lame and spurrier is finding that out too.

Save this post and if Spurrier is at USC in 7 years I will

May 13, 2006, 12:42 PM [ in reply to Do you honestly think spurrier can't build a program? ]

give you $100. Spurrier said when he was with Washington he wanted to coach there for about 5 years and then retire. He was at Washington for 2 been at USC for 2 and I bet he stays about 2 more if that long. Mark it down

I think the stint in Washington gave him a new passion for

the game. He was so used to have success, he was expecting it in the pros and probably was becoming bored with it. However, because of his failing in Washington I think he realized how much he truly enjoys the game. I think he will be here for as long as he can and do his best to build up a solid program, the right way.
