Both of those games could have gone either way. The first loss was VERY controversial.
I'm not saying make a big deal about it, but if we are named champs because Tech cheated, then so be it.
It happened to us in reverse.

difference is there were no divisions then, and no championship game. If tech's games were all forfeited, then wouldn't Vatech have a claim that they should have been in the championship game?

SCAR had to forfiet because they cheated. I know, hard to believe ...
Clemson got credit for the win an as a result was named ACC Champ.
We didn't win on the field, but we (and everyone else outside of Columbia) still counts it in the record books, I believe.
If we had to NOT be ACC Cahmps in 1982 because we cheated, then I see no reason why we shouldn't justifiably claim to be ACC Champs when the other teams cheat!!
But, that's just me.

Technically if your looking at facts, they did beat us because of what happened. If I've read correctly their star receiver the one who accepted the benefits which made him ineligible. Making him not available for the game but he did play and was an impact. Caught a 70 yard touchdown pass. Without him, who knows if the outcome would have been different.
