UPDATE on current targets for 2012 football recruiting

1. Carlos Watkins (DT) -- as of 30 June, final 5 down to us, UF, SCAR, AL, ND. Visited Clemson, Alabama, and UGA this week. Watkins was reported (TI) to be attempting to sway Bullard to come to Clemson during their visit a few days ago, which signifies that Watkins just might be heading toward Clemson himself. Watkins recently had a visit to AL and UGA, and both went well.

2. Trae Elston (DB) -- been a lean toward Clemson, but also is looking at LSU and Tenn. Was at the Nike camp getting a lot of time with a few Clemson commits, including Blanks. Has said he wanted to wait until NSD to decide.

3. Oliver Jones (OL) -- good friends with Destafano/Guillermo. Looking as a lean toward Clemson. Wanting to make a decision prior to September.

4. Chris Mangus (RB) -- Will visit Clemson next weekend (at VT now). He's down to UVA, Clemson, and ND. Clemson has been recruiting him hard after the Spring game.

5. Jay Jay McCullough (TE) -- seems to be a Clemson lean and may commit soon.

6. Jonathan Bullard (DE) - Clemson did well with him in the last few days. His mom loves it and he said he will return.

7. Nick Dawson (LB) - it's down to Clemson and Louisville. Was seen at the Nike camp wearing a L'ville cap.

8. Eddie Goldman (DT) - Who knows? Visited both Clemson and Scar, among a total of 15 remaining schools on his list.

9. Keith Marshall (RB) -- unsure, and has about 12 to list. Likes SCAR and Clemson from the last report in May.

10. DJ Humphries (OL) -- brother plays at UGA. Also likes UF. Not sure how much Clemson is in there for him.

11. Quinshad Davis (WR) -- Clemson and SCAR are battling for him. He will visit both soon.

12. Mike Flint (OL) -- after recent visit to Clemson, they are among his top schools. He is completely aware that the opportunity to go to Clemson is drying up.

13. Marty Williams (WR/ATH) -- seems to be a STRONG Clemson lean and grew up a Clemson fan as well.

14. Zach Banner (OT) -- basically had no interest in Clemson until Guillermo was in his ear at the Nike camp. He hasn't said anything about a Clemson visit, but did say he might would research the school. This is a great player, but it probably a long shot.
