baseball team went farther than I expected because I think we are just too weak at the plate and then in pressure situations our defense looks like little league. Hopefully, this experience will help next year but we have to put some power in the lineup

When a team does MORE than was expected, it cannot be the victim of a curse.
A search of archived Tigernet posts immediately following last year's failure to reach post-season would reveal a strong consensus that we were going to be in for a "long season" in 2009.
Thankfully We WERE in for a long season ... an unexpected run to the Super Regionals stretched it for us.

we have numerous CWS appearances. Our tradition is not nearly what some here would like to believe it is. Is it good- yes. Are we a marque program- no.

baseball seriously. It was not unusual for them to play over 100 games a season. They were one of the the impetuses(impetusae?) to have the # of games played limited to the current 56. They won a ton of games and 5 trophies during those years
