From ESPN.com on Sidney Rice...

Rice under arrest after blackmail and booster payments

Associated Press

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Sophomore Sidney Rice, South Carolina's career leader in touchdown receptions, is giving up his final two seasons to federal authorities.

Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier confirmed through a spokesman Sunday that Rice would go quietly without incident.

Spurrier was "disappointed and wished [Rice] would've stayed a distinguished human being," spokesman Steve Fink said.

In two seasons, Rice caught 23 TDs to set the school's career mark. With 1,090 yards receiving this year, Rice became the first South Carolina wideout to break the 1,000-yard mark twice in his career. The only other 1,000-yard season in Gamecock history was by former Green Bay Packers star Sterling Sharpe.

Later this evening it was discovered that Rice not only blackmailed Blake "Horseface" Mitchell with adult-oriented pictures of the Gamecocks' starting quarterback in a University of Louisville cheerleading uniform, but he also took payments from Gamecock Club booster Charleston_Cock in the amount of $80,000,000.

Screams of, "That's pass interference! That's pass interference!" were heard from Rice's home of the State Capitol Building.

The Capitol Building was allegedly bought and paid for by Charleston_Cock's delusion.

Rice had 11 100-yard games, also a school career record. Half of those yards came from whiney complaints from the string bean of a reciever.

He caught 72 passes this year and leaves sixth all-time on the school list with 142 receptions and 16 indictments.

Underclassmen had until Jan. 15 to declare for the draft. Rice has until Jan. 20 to withdraw his name from consideration and post bail.

For the stiff-hearted, this is a joke. Relax a bit and let's enjoy the faults of our Coot neighbors!

"Raise your hand if you're envisioning Charlie Brown trying to kick that football and Lucy yanking it away right at the last minute.

That's South Carolina football in a nutshell."
