How I got the name "Goose" during Operation Enduring Freedom

It was the spring of 2003, and overseas we were doing war things in Iraq. I was at TTT with a buddy of mine our junior year. He was a real lady killer. "Herm" is what we called him, on account of his name being Herman. I bought the first pitcher, and he bought the second. As he walked back to the table, my eyes were fixed on his 6. I noticed one rally cat quality girl and one much thicker girl on the edge of the dance floor.
As he poured the lagers into our glasses, I let him know we had a couple of bogies in our sector. He asked if I'd be willing to take the bigger one back to our place at The Reserve while he undressed the good looking one. Of course, I obliged. He went over and did what he normally does. An hour later we were on the CAT bus with the girls, ready to go in for the kill.
We headed back to our place and as he took the girl into his room, he said "tag her hard, Goose." "Goose." Had a nice ring to it.
