Just checking in to see where Ace Sanders was drafted

Apr 26, 2013, 10:40 AM

A player with his combination of size and speed had to be a first round pick, right?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

don't think Ace Sanders played for Clemson***

worry about your team. No one ever said Ace was a first round guy because he certainly is not. He did have success against Clemson though so might want to focus more on your team than others.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I figured if a guy left early he was first round material

Apr 26, 2013, 10:47 AM

Also, do you find it ironic that you are telling someone to worry about their own team, while on your rivals message board?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

all of the old ball sac's players want to leave as soon as

Apr 27, 2013, 10:18 AM [ in reply to I figured if a guy left early he was first round material ]

Maybe in his own mind, but maybe he has issues, baggage,a subpar year in the eyes of the experts.
Besides would you rather be a first round pick to a team that has little or no chance of making the playoffs,or would you rather go to a team that is a contender year in and year out?
Ex.Tom Brady( like him or not) was a sixth round pick.
How many rings does he have?

LMAO. A coot on a tiger board saying this.
I nominate this as coot post of the month.

Where did your boy Steve have Ace going

Apr 26, 2013, 11:03 AM

Also, why didn't he slap him in the head and tell him he will be lucky if he's drafted, so why not finish his degree(not like it woud be worth much, but still).

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The correct term for 4 years at SC is "sentence" not degree

Apr 26, 2013, 11:10 AM

I'd get out as soon as I could as well.

So what you're saying is, he didn't declare early

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: I find it funny that all board coots post one message and

Apr 26, 2013, 12:26 PM

Debate? Or trade personal insults back and forth?

There isn't much "debate" to be had on any message board.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: I find it funny that all board coots post one message and

Apr 27, 2013, 10:35 AM

Then from your conclusion about little debate being available, debate cannot be the reason you are here.

This leaves the other options for you to be on this site to be rather base and of ill intent.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not at all

Apr 27, 2013, 9:54 PM

Re: Just checking in to see where Ace Sanders was drafted

Apr 26, 2013, 11:29 AM

Personally I think Ace should have stayed but I do understand his decision to leave. I honestly believe after the Outback Bowl against Michigan, after he had scored multiple touchdowns and returned another punt that he felt like maybe his stock was as high as it was gonna get for a guy his size. He had a great game and great season returning punts and he knows punt returning is going to be a big part of his NFL career. Chances are slim that he would have had a betters season returning punts this year than he did last year. No matter what his receiving numbers would have been in 2013 I do not believe he would have ever been a first rounder due to his size and straight line speed. Maybe after the bowl game he had a 100 game, several TD's, a punt return and assumed that that is about as good as he can do and his stock will not get much higher. Also, not sure of his familys finance situation, but maybe he needed the money. Also watching what happened to Latt has to make you wonder about getting hurt and not being able to pursue the NFL. Just a few thoughts, trying to understand where the players are coming from in these situations.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

"stock was as high as it was gonna get for a guy his size"

Apr 26, 2013, 11:32 AM

Tavon Austin - 5'8" - 1st Round #8
Ace Sanders - 5'8" - Not yet drafted

Try again coot...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: "stock was as high as it was gonna get for a guy his size"

Apr 26, 2013, 11:43 AM

"would have never been a first rounder due to his size and straight line speed"

Read the whole post. You should know very well about Tavon Austin's straight line speed as he ran for days last time he played Clemson. He is faster than Ace. Just making a normal post and you take one half sentence and try and make a point that I was already making.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Or he could have stuck around and earned a degree

Apr 26, 2013, 11:32 AM [ in reply to Re: Just checking in to see where Ace Sanders was drafted ]

Unless you are a stud you are not going to make a squad because you can return punts, roster spots are too valuable.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He could have- or he could go ahead and go now

Apr 26, 2013, 12:23 PM

because he's never have a chance to go any higher - and then come back to school later on if he so desires.

He made the right decision.

Ace will have to carve out a role in the arena league, or maybe Canada.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yall wanna know why he left?

1.5 GPA he was gonna be able to play in the fall so he made the right choice and best one for him.

much less use one.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Clowney can't spell tutor...

Apr 27, 2013, 1:41 PM

That is so right! Our players spell so much better than theirs.......why don't you ask Tajh how much he cared about that when Clowney was drilling his ### into the DV turf last November. Look, they have been better than us the past four years (not player talent so much as better coached, at least in the games against us), so I can admit it. Unlike some little boys on this board, I don't really care if our campus is more beautiful (it is), our coaches are better morally than their's (don't know either staff personally, so can't say), or our players are smarter than theirs in the classroom. All I know is I don't want to read headlines in every paper in the state next November telling me they kicked our butts again! The game on the field is what concerns me.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up
