Is banning required because someone doesn't have your opinion or should the person cursing and attacking someone's opinion, that he/she doesn't like, be banned? Or maybe if there was a tube to blow in before posting, anyone blowing over 0.08 could be banned from posting until under the limit.

Saturday night basketball threads reek of intoxicating fumes.
Sure, sometimes the games cause frustration, but losses ending after 9 pm bring a sharp spike in vitriol. It might be forgivable if a poster acknowledges their chemical imbalance—so that the rest of us don’t respond in kind—but they never do, for some reason.
I can’t help but think that some posters need to revisit their posts the next day (Sunday). They might just end up with, “I said THAT? What was I thinking?”
So personally, I’m trying not to get sucked into those conversations this year, and wish I had learned earlier.
Of course, winning helps, too. Nothing makes a stupid post stink as much as being proven wrong by the coach/team/program that was criticized.
