UGA was never going to be a contender in 2018. They might win the East and who knows what could happen in Atlanta, but this is not the year. They've got a young team and the schedule is murder. They are set to make a run in 2019 or 2020.

After the Kelly Bryant situation, Kirby would rather lose with Fromm this season than risk him transferring next season. Which is exactly how most coaches will deal with possible transfers: Keep the upperclassman happy until they are locked in, then do what you want.
