Greatest rock and roll front men? Only include

if they dont’t/didn’t usually play an instrument:
1. Robert Plant 2. Mick Jagger 3. Roger Daltrey 4. Van Morrison 5. Rod Stewart 6. David Bowie 7. David Byrne 8. Bono 9. Michael Stipe 10. Joe Cocker
Left out Lennon/McCartney, Springsteen, Helm/Danko/Manuel, Dylan, etc. because they played instruments.

I can understand not like Stipe as a frontman...heck, he couldn't even face the crowd in the early days of REM, but not thinking Bono should be on the list? I guess if you hate U2, but hopefully your music taste isn't that bad

But I've really no use for U2. Maybe they got Rock 101ed to death before I ever really gave them a shot. I see no real reason to go back and learn them now though.

Journey was bubble-gum pop for sure, but they had a big following back in the day. Like I said earlier, not fan, but thought he did deserve mention. Had several chances to go see them but passed every time.
