the game...he's been our best shooter all around! We've had a brutal start to the ACC season and should have knocked off a ranked team on the road...fluke that Reed misses 4 FT's much less 4 in a row. Chit happens...we can still have a decent year; it's not time to bail on the season.

typically fought hard right to the bitter end, and that mentality has won a lot of games for us. Still, this season has been a big diappointment so far; and if we don't catch fire real soon, the whole season is going to be a big disappointment. There is no sugar coating it.

He’s going to have to get his teams to the point where they can consistently finish games like that against overrated teams like NC State who are ripe to be knocked off. After a deep run in the tournament last year we would have reasonably expected Brownell to finally, FINALLY, after all these years, to have us there. With an experienced team it was reasonable to expected better results than what we saw today, shooting a big goose egg from 3 and totally choking at the line when a couple of made FTs could have iced it.

We’re not there. And to NOT put that SQUARELY on Brownell at this point, well... it’s denial. You just don’t want to face the truth about this guy. This is his team and his program.
