Dabo as AD

First of all, happy birthday to the class act that is Dabo.
Secondly, what are your thoughts on Dabo as AD when he's done coaching (hopefully for a long time a Clemson) and how successful do you think he will be as AD?

Hopefully he will be our AD after he is ready to give up being down on the field. If I was a betting man, I would surely bet that he won't give up being on the field until the AD job at Clemson come open later down the road, and a fine AD I'm sure he would be!!!

I don't see Dabo as becoming an ad

Just doesn't fit for his mo. He likes to be hands on making a difference in young men's lives.
However , I believe he would be great at anything he does. He just has that umph about him.
Hopefully we have a looooong time before we have to think about him being anything other than HC of our beloved Tigers.

I would agree. I think working and shaping youngsters is what motivates him. AD is a very political job besides management. However, his keen sense of vision would serve Clemson athletics well. He would do well, but I think would soon grow disinterested. I would not be surprised if he found his calling in later years in some form of Christian discipleship.

Maybe in a few years after he grooms Hunter Renfrow to take his place as the head coach.

sounds like a good thing but you see how Tanner is now

viewed at USuCk. They're calling for his head half the time. He ruined his reputation. I think he'd be better suited just to move on and retire or do a job like Spurrier has as an advisor/consultant for the UF administration. Now thats a cherry job.

I think he would be a good AD, especially given his significant business experience.

Dabo has all the natural and developed ability to...

do nearly anything he sets his mind to do. Anyone who thinks he isn't much involved in our athletic program is not seeing the truth. I'm not suggesting he's running the show because that would make him accountable but I'm sure he has weighted input on major decisions and provides thoughtful and promising contributions to many of the processes.

Prolly not a fit.. an AD is basically a CFO job these days

Just don't think Dabo would like watching sports from a distance and being involved in fund raising, building raising, hiring yet another WBB coach, etc.
