Then marching up prices. But I’m still enjoying my 45 a month to watch what I want and not have the other 300 channels I don’t. But they ain’t stupid, they’ll keep upping the price until people find an alternative.

They all do it after they suck you in with the lower prices at first. Just look at all the garbage that Spectrum/TWC has that they they charge you for that you won't even have set to appear in your channel selections, but they will use that for a reasoning for charging their ridiculous prices stating that they have to include what all their viewers want. Most of that BS wouldn't even work when you leave you TV on when leaving you home for a bit. The bugler knows that nobody could be home with some of that bs on the TV. Since I have gotten better with using my firestick and reading what some of you guys say about your app choices with the hula or the YouTube and others, I'm about to cut the cable again for good this time. The last time I cut the cable, I wasn't up on the apps to use, and Spectrum/TWC made a good offer to get me back with a good price, but those come back prices only last a year, and they will slightly raise the price month after month until the wife says, why is the cable bill $200 plus a month again. It's bc they put you to sleep with their "come back deals" and slowly push the knife in you again. I do hate that when you cut everything but the internet, they will raise the internet price, and so I have a question, is there anything that I can get to boost my internet service with the cheaper internet prices??? The internet price goes up with for better internet. I'm suppose have 100 Mbps, but I'm only getting 69.3 Mbps, and they can't tell me why, but I can purchase a higher better Mbps plan, so I'm asking is there a booster or whatever that can help me get the entire 100 Mbps that I'm paying for now!!!!!!:(

Sadly you aren't guaranteed 100mbps

The fine print always says "speeds up to 100 mbps" and many services don't actually provide as much bandwidth as they advertise. Numerous things can cause you to lose bandwidth including just traffic in your area (your neighbors also using a lot of bandwidth).

That said, you should be able to stream everything fine at 70mbps. I've been on a 30mbps ATT connection for two years in a rural area that didn't offer anything faster (until a few weeks ago) and I've had very few issues streaming even at that speed.

I find that 25 from telephone company's ASDL is more reliable than the throttled 100 from the cable co.

I happened to find out when Charter was offering "starting at 200 mbps" that my modem that they rent to me for free was actually outdated, and if I wanted the faster starting speed I just needed to go to their office and get a new one. I'm rolling with 215 mbps now, so if you have the same deal check to make sure you have a newer modem.
