Don't panic over the suspensions

Dec 26, 2018, 6:48 AM

While the optimum situation would be to have all players available, especially Dexter, we've seen this team produce a win with a quarterback who was third string entering the season. This team is built strong and deep enough that it won't fold with the loss of even the most important player. While we hope Dexter will be in the starting line up, this team will persevere. Hopefully, the players suspended will be vindicated today. If they aren't, don't give up faith in our Tigers.

Agree. You are not got to win or lose because you are missing one starter. I hate it most of for Dex. Truly awful if he had no idea what casused the positive test.

I, too, hate it most for Dexter. He is such an outstanding young man who, to my knowledge, has never put a wrong foot forward during his time as a Tiger.

Exactly my attitude. We're ranked Number 2

nationally for a reason.

I believe we are heavy enough on talent to persevere, and the staff and team know it.

I agree. They have not shown any sign that they lack confidence in any previous game scenario.

I’m much more concerned about the violation than I am about losing a player for the game. Someone will step up and replace DLawrence. The Tigers have been groomed all year to have the next man up and ready to play. I’m concerned about the image. And I hope that all fans are as well .

I am not concerned about the image. It's not that big of a deal. I am more concerned that w are missing Dex and that we are thin at DT after Huggins and CW42.

A clean image is important, and Clemson's reputation under Dabo has been impeccable. I expect it will remain one of the most respected programs in the country. Those who are overly critical due to this incident were already negative about Clemson and have an agenda.

Exactly. It won't ding the image at all.

If we lose to ND it won't be because Dex is gone. We will deserve to lose. They are a good team, but not great. If we are lucky enough to play Bama(if they make it too), the loss of Big Dex will be a factor. The way they run the ball, losing Big Dex will be a serious factor. That said, we are beating ND.

Dabo and BV have it under control

Dec 26, 2018, 3:43 PM

Thank gawd TNet is not handling this suspension. Preparation for ND would have stopped two days ago. BV has Dex on the sidelines just like an injury condition and is moving forward with the game plan.

Most of the country will get their 1st look at the Tigers at 4:00pm Sat, and the team will be ready to compete.
