Why do some NFL franchises continually lose

and make inexplicably bad decision over and over and over?? The NFL System promotes such behavior.

If you had a dude with a booth at the local flea market that was subsidized by a major corporation for Zillions of dollars per year and all he had to do was show up at his market booth 16 times a year, this flea market seller would do the same thing as perpetually bad teams in the NFL.........take the guaranteed money, sell anything you own at a discount and pocket that money, resupply your table with inferior products, then do the same thing again next year while the value of your flea market spot (NFL Franchise) increases geometrically. Owners of poor teams have figured out that they can make stacks of money just by showing up every year, no matter what kind of product they put on the field. The NFL system is broken from top to bottom, with the guys at the top....Owners, Players, Staff........making tons of money while the guys at the bottom.......the fans who pay the bills......are ignored.

All you political animals out there, does this sound familiar???

This is correct. Bad owners 9 times out of 10.

Hiring the wrong GMs or even self promoting owner to GM like Jerry Jones or Bruce Allen.

Overpaying or trading the wrong players. Firing/hiring the wrong coaches.

if they can play the fine line of winning just a little enough to keep season ticket holders and corporate sponsors in place, and just enough revenue coming in, but not shell out the big bucks for talent then they call it a success.

Maybe they might push for a talented roster when the business model gets shaky. Keep fans hopeful but not too much.

I know several fans that like to go to Panthers game to see the opposing team. Those other teams sell tickets for the Panthers.

Sounds a little bit like some schools in the ACC -- show up and cash the checks.

Which is why we need a CFB "league" that is made up of football first schools -- where the fanbase treats a loss on Saturday like the death of a family member.
