That I would take over Wes MF'n Goodwin.

He's proven that he has what it takes!

How about all the others that he's done a great job with?

Aside from turnover points before ND game, the defense had only given up 9 TD's in 8 games. The Tigers are a top ten defense this year and looks like we've completely reloaded with the freshman that have played so far.

And we have the number 1 ranked LB coming in next year.

The best is yet to come and it's being built on the back of our DEFENSE!

has he promised to never use the 3-man rush in the 2nd quarter again? or at the end of the game when it's a one possession game?

To be fair, there aren't many, if any, coaches out there with the charisma of BV***

Venables has charisma in interviews but it’s more just bat ##### crazy in games. The really good thing about Goodwin, and his lack of BV charisma (being polite) is he won’t be targeted by a lot of teams for head coach jobs. We’ll have stability for the long term with our defense.

It’s been there all along. It’s just easier for some to see it after a big win. Our defense has ranked high all year and kept us in a lot of games while the offense sputtered and stuttered.

I'm not ready to sing Goodwin's praises, but the defense he has put together is not bad at all. I mean that after 9 games Clemson still has the #6 ranked defense. It's not their job to score points. That's not bad at all. I'll take it.

Maybe in the offseason he can join his players in conditioning. Would hate to see the guy die young.

Well he’s gonna have his hands full the next 2 weeks (and 3 if South Carolina can manage to get Juice, Leggett, and Harbor on the field at the same time). With our offenses inability to score the defense is gonna have to be lights out to keep us in these games against these efficient offenses.
