The Mafah I Saw ---

I saw a running back that I witnessed in several games at Grayson High School. That kid was named Phil Mafah and he was nearly a man amongst boys. A load to bring down with moves and good speed to boot.

I often wondered why I haven't quite seen the Mafah I was used to seeing. 5 yards and a cloud of dust will do as long as we're picking up first downs to eventually touchdowns....but it seemed he was not being able to just let loose like he used to. Saturday against Notre Dame I saw a good bit of the kid that bulldozed and slashed kids all over the field just like he did at Grayson High School. Believe me that was about 65% maybe 75% of the real Phil Mafah.

Mahfa and Streeter are two entirely different backs and each forces the opponent to prepare differently. Glad the Tigers have both and I hope they can both soon be 100%. I can see getting the ball to Mahfa in the open being a big gainer. Easy to say! There has been very very few passes this year to running backs. Must not be a part of Riley’s attack.
The Tigers are improving every week. Looking forward Saturday to seeing a 50 yard field goal! Go Tigers. Win Out

Mafah's speed surprised me. Once he broke loose he could outrun the secondary.
