brownell nosers, is there a DMZ type situation? A certain board where peace and harmony reign? From what I have seen so far, there is still sporadic small arms fire from both sides. Will ACTO (Atlantic Coast Treaty Organization) be involved?

Surrender is only necessary for peace if uniformity of opinion is a non-negotiable for both sides. But insisting that others hold your opinion doesn't have to be a non-negotiable for peace. There is no middle position on what decision gets made for the program (either BB gets fired, or not), but tolerating disagreement is not surrendering of your own position.

We must ask ourselves these two questions:

1) Is it possible to think BB isn't the guy for Clemson without being wholly unappreciative of his accomplishments . . . i.e. without being a "hater"?

and

2) Is it possible to think BB has earned retention even while admitting some of the criticisms are accurate? i.e. w/o being a "brown-noser"/"cult follower"?

If the answer to both is yes, then we're all gonna be ok!

I say I fall under number 2, and I readily admit that some of the criticism is warranted. I think that most who under number 2 would agree. Personally, I think those that fall under number 1 don't appreciate his accomplishments. I think they are anti-CBB first, pro-Clemson second. If Clemson won the NCAAT this year, I don't think they would be happy.
