Lucas Lucas Lucas. Proud of our Tiger. But oh what could have been. He knows better on 6 how slow that putt is. Argh. And hit 2, well really 3 beautiful shots on 8 and missed the putt. Don't get me wrong, he's had some spectacular scrambling to save par... but he could so easily be -4... had that 8 footer on 18. I know, ifs.

14 just hasn't been kind to him. Beautiful tee balls and flew his approach. Still, should have made that 5 footer.

Lucas at even par after 17. He's had 4 three putts. 6 and 17 were less than 30 feet. Missed 5 footer at 8. Yeah, Augusta and we all know the greens but these weren't really difficult putts... not on 6, 8, and 17. On 14, he's cooked his approach 2 days in a row.

And no, I want to make it clear I'm very proud of him and I'm not complaining... but what could have easily been. Lucas has the skills to fire a 65. Let's pull for him to do that tomorrow.

and will improve again tomorrow . . . some won’t be able to handle the pressure as the crowd roars on nearby holes . . . It is eerie how the sounds swell, especially on and after Amen Corner . . . Lucas is too far back, I fear . . . but the points and $$$ will be up for grabs . . .

Sunday will be exciting.

Lucas fires a 65 and posts -7 in the clubhouse, those grips on the others will get mighty tight. I'd love to see it. It's been a blast to see he and Akshay hit every shot on every hole. Almost better than going.

But I must admit, I do miss going. Had some wonderful times in Augusta. It was awesome back in the 60s and early 70s because you could get so close to the guys and most would chat it up with you.
