ASAP so Blake can move back to 2nd. I know he’s just a freshman, but I’ve seen more than enough of Purify. He makes defensive mistakes more than anyone else, and he’s been very consistent with it. He isn’t much better at the plate either. Made some noise with the grand slam in game 1 vs. PC and had a big double in game 3 vs. Duke, but that’s about it. His base running is also iffy (almost cost him again tonight). But he’s a textbook liability on defense and has been for the majority of the games he’s played. Needs to sit for a bit.

Before this 4 game losing streak Coach Bakich would bring Jarren up in the postgame on the radio every now and then and he thinks Jarren is gonna be really good.I trust and hope coach Bakich will be right but so far Jarren Purify is backing him up on that claim very good at all.
