Michigan scandal

has been in the news nonstop for the past week. It's on talk radio, on tv, and in print yet I haven't heard 1 person from mich (not even a fan) deny any of the allegations and say "it wasn't us, we are innocent, we didn't do it!" What I have seen from mich is excuses and hoping for delays in any type of punishment.

A carefully worded statement. Stalions acted on his own but video evidence shows he had access to the DC during the games. I suspect the football program didn't order it but didn't turn it down either. They benefitted from it or they would have told him to quit bugging the DC. I don't see this lasting 30+ games if no one was listening to Stalions.

Here' my 2 cents discount verdict

Michigan - Not the death penalty but does set an example for other programs and focuses on the institution.
No post season games 2023-2024.
Players in their last year of eligibility get 1 additional year if they transfer. (This keeps innocent players from being victims).
Michigan loses 10 scholarships 2024 and 5 2025.

Harbaugh and DC
If they are shown to have known they were benefitting from Stalions cheating 5 year ban. Even if they didn't order it.

Stalions
Lifetime ban.

I think going forward NCAA should do what the pros do, helmet communication. Give them the appropriate penalty. Think they lose to psu and the nuts.

...endless lawsuits and state politicians (ie Wolverine fans) sending letters. Wanna get their playoff game shot in before the axe falls. Kinda hope they lose to PSU and OSU to get knocked out lol.

Michigan knows nothing harsh will come down on them. The whole penalty phase of college athletics is laughable now. There is basically no law and order now. The NCAA castrated themselves of leveling legitimate penalties for rules violation. They are merely a lap dog for the SEC and a few others including Michigan, Ohio St., Notre Dame, SoCal, Oklahoma, and Oregon. A few others as well. Just my opinion.
