Thousands of cats die from Covid strain in Cyprus – BBC News

Covid virus that killed 8,000 cats in Cyprus spreads to UK

There are exactly 7 types of coronaviruses known to infect humans. COVID os ONLY ONE OF THEM. It's called SARS-CoV-2. There are thirty total, meaning at least 23 don't infect humans. This cat "covid" is one of them. But that doesn't deter the headline writers one bit.

Sure, pets can get covid-19 (SARS-CoV-2). They can also get this other coronavirus, that people CAN NOT GET. Humans also get coronaviruses that pets can't get.

The headlines are misleading, at best.
