"Just Winthrop"

I'd go as far as to say that Winthrop might very well be the most consistently successful basketball program in the state of South Carolina with 11 conference championships and 7 NCAA tourney appearances over the last 20 years. It scares me when we play them because they've jumped up and bitten a significant number of Power Five Conference teams over that span. A win over Winthrop is a good win in my book. They typically play sound fundamental basketball and Clemson should NEVER overlook them.

Been a minute since I caught them play. Last game I went to was a home game with Gregg Marshall coaching against a pretty stacked Cliff Ellis Coastal team.
