something noteworthy worth mentioning. It seems the NIH has finally admitted to immune system damage from covid infections. They're right on top of this, cutting edge and all. The study is actually fascinating, and one that SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE A YEAR AGO, at least. There are already literally several dozen studies from all over the planet that show this impact on CD4 and especially CD8 T cells. The study leaves a lot of important questions unanswered, but at least it shows, and they finally admit, the virus damages your immune system. Also shows the immune damage, at least, doesn't come from the S genes, which we already knew. Study does NOT show though, if the vaccine provides protection from the immune damage from the virus after multiple reinfections. I would assume the damage happens on any infection though, especially since they didn't study the uninfected, 2x vax, and then infected and reinfected multiple times category. That would make the vaccines look bad, or worthless.

Here's a summary of the study:

damage occurs. Took the WHO a year and a half to admit the virus was airborne, CDC was longer. Took the CDC 4 extra months to admit infections were common in those vaccinated. So yeah, it was accepted by those who were informed, and unaccepted by those who place trust in the CDC/US government.

The US government does not officially admit anything about the virus, without doing their OWN studies. The way it works is the CDC lady, or whoever, gets on TV and says "There is no evidence" of large-scale breakthrough infections. There is no evidence because they seek no evidence, so they can say there's no evidence, so you think it's false. They did this with breakthrough infections. Singapore, Japan, Israel, UK, many had done studies showing (especially with Delta) the vaccines did little to prevent infections. Meanwhile Biden is saying drop the masks, and the vaccines prevent infections, and there is no evidence they don't. As evidence compounded from across the planet, the CDC finally did a study in Massachusetts's, and shazam, there was evidence the vaccines didn't prevent transmission. That's when they did the 180 and said to re-mask. Same with aerosol transmission. Official government/CDC advice was "there is no evidence" of aerosol transmission. Around the world multiple studies confirmed it. THEN, much later, the CDC did their own study and admitted it.

And this is why the 6-foot rule, social distancing, plexiglass, etc, happened. And it did nothing. But they didn't want people not shopping, so put up plexiglass, and you can shop with ease knowing you're safe, and you can work safely, etc. It was all BS. Oh, and wash your hands, and that helps a ton. Less than 1 in 10,000 covid infections come from fomite transmission.

Same old playbook here. Prior to this study, the same montra...."There is no evidence covid damages the immune system". Truth is there has been plenty of evidence, for 2+ years now. But only now does the NIH/CDC have a study, done in the US, that provides evidence. All other evidence is ignored, until they choose to seek it and inform people.

she's an otherwise super healthy 12 year old.... only thing she's been sick with in the past 3 years is Rona, but 4 times seems excessive.

Said his leg hurt, BAD. Took/carried to the doc, and he referred him to ortho. Ortho doc took x-rays and they were fine. He asked if he'd had covid recently. Said about 6 weeks ago. Diagnosed as synovitis, inflammation of the hip (in his case). Similar to arthritis. It's somewhat common in children who get over (usually) bad viruses, but more common after covid. Doc said for him to take Motrin for a week. He's still limping a little, but is back at school now.

I have no clue how many times we've had covid. At least 3. Could be 5. Not sure.

Oh, and I had sepsis 6 weeks (maybe 8) after covid. Ended up in the hospital and eventually with surgery.
