He saw action in 33 games as a freshman (one start) and averaged 3.2 points and 2.1 rebounds in 9.4 minutes per game.
This year as sophomore he averaged 6.1 points and 3.4 rebounds in 15.5 minutes per game.
Two year average of about 12 minutes per game scoring around 4-5 points a game? Not much keeping him here was there? Basically for two years a bench player.

No, Chef was in front of him. That is probably the reason why he left. He was not big enough to start at center at about 6-7 1/2 or so.

His minutes were going to increase by 10-12 regardless if he started or not

Toward end of year, he started hitting his free throws and even 3 pts.

Always good defender and rebounder, he was going to start at one forward, Chef at the other. Big Loss. any history of who has pandered and offered more money?

And he showed that he turned a corner and would play a bigger role. But from his two year past, what from his view showed him that Tigers really were dedicated to him as a two year bench player. He will be a starter at any school he goes to next year, was probably offered more SEC money, and probably viewed two years at Clemson as they had their chance and did not work him much into lineup. In recruiting he chose the Tigers over an offer list that included Ole Miss, Utah, Auburn, Georgia, Missouri and Georgia Tech. My guess he will show up with an $EC school. He will be missed but this is the current environment and hate to see him go.

That turned out well against New Mexico. Godfrey had more minutes than Hall that game. I had no problem having an undersized front court, if they were the best players we had. I don’t think we get a big better than Godfrey in the portal.

IT IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY !
I stay close to recruiting. Players demanding to start and get big money when no coach knows what their team will look like and who will start until classes start in the fall.

That’s ridiculous that his dad says he wasn’t going to start next year. We don’t even know who is going to be on the team next year, much less who will be starting. 💰
