geez, it's like we don't even know you. Name the fish that has a square filet. Name how often you eat fish from a deep fryer that also does fries. Name a reason that your supper destination is Mickey D's.
And name the fat/sodium content of said bomb sammich.

McDonald’s sometimes goes a little crazy with the tartar sauce on it, but nothing a little napkin dab cant fix.

Used to get them as a kid because that was my dad’s go to at McD’s. I have had one in the past year - I just remember it being smaller than I had remembered. I can’t remember if it had the cheese as well. #### - is my shorter term memory going bad?
Probably not. Most likely I just ate the sandwich fast because I’m a pig when I eat in my car.

It always has, when the sandwich was created CEO/founder went around to some of his franchises to find a sandwich they were making that was popular but not on the normal menu. He found a filet of fried pollack sandwich w tartar sauce and choose to add a slice of cheese like the burgers get. And the Filet-O-Fish was born.

Had to stop in downtown Charleston. Pro tip: If you ever visit downtown Charleston, WV, do so during daylight hours. Last night we saw the WAY downstream customers of my CDS friend from earlier in the week. Not even trying to hide the exchanges.
May hit Tamarack on the way home today. If so, Pepperoni rolls R us.

never had one and never will.
I do find it hard to believe it is 'the bomb'. This is reserved for food you would go out of your way to eat. This sounds like you were rummaging thru the garbage and found something kind of edible.
