First tier is those of us raised in South Carolina. If you were born here you know you pick one or the other. Clemson or SC.
Second tier is alumni. If you are a yankee but you went to Clemson sorry we count you but you are 2nd tier.
3rd tier is bandwagon fans. We'll take you all day everyday because the mark of a good program is bandwagon fans.

is dust plain dumb, not sure how anyone who went to and graduated from the school (any school) in question is behind any person who happed to be born in Aiken, not Augusta, who wore jerseys as a 12 year old to school and sits screaming at the tv a couple times a year.

Tier 1 - those who don’t get their voice back after a home game until Wednesday.
Tier 2 - those who get their voice back Tuesday
Tier 3 - this who get their voice back Monday
All others.
That’s our job as fans. It is realistically all we can do to help the team.

It's kinda self-serving to qualify fans in any fashion don't you think?
Fans are fans. A huge number of native Clemson fans couldn't even get into Clemson. Does it really matter?
It's like voting and telling a newly converted Republican voter that they aren't really a Republican because they haven't been one all their life.
Or telling a Christian convert that they are not as much of a Christian because they weren't born with a bible in their hand.
It's silly.
Celebrate that whoever they are they love Clemson football and identify as a fan.
