Anybody know anyone who owns a CFA and can tell me what a Unit Marketing Director does, or give more info about the job?

You do just as it says, you do a lot of marketing for the store. A co-workers wife did this...she did special events, put up tents and set-up cooking stations at events. Did a lot of promotional things with publications, etc. Most work from home. Supposedly an awesome job with "decent" compensation. Most of these positions are also only out of one store, which seems crazy, but each store usually has their own Marketing Manager.
