Yeah, they just fade away alright - that's why we had 3 that could easily be getting a huge paycheck come back because they just want to "fade away". Keep talking big boy... we'll see. Oh, and we just had two stud bball players refuse a check too to come back to Dear ole Clemson... How'd your "new" school fare with that also - hmmm not too well did ya.

Seems to me, Clowney (the greatest hs player in last 40 years) hasen't exactly been a world beater in the NFL Oh yeah, and there's that little thing called his last year with the Ol' Ball Coach. Remember?
Even his coach said some unflattering things about him work ethic.
Good thing Pickens (and his mom) will have Josh Belk to help motivate him.

No offense but i do see a woman who could be adamant, strong bearing, maybe even a bit pushy in getting her way, etc.
So, I can’t see Coach Mustrat getting the upper hand on her perceived strong will personality unless she was a Coot Lover from the get-go..and then the two of them molding the Son towards ColumbiA for various reasons..like instant playing time, big stardom, possibly whip the Tigers and from what I saw written that she wasn’t all too friendly or happy towards Clemson.
OK, move on since it’s just one pretty dang good player we liked.

It’s just such a dumb thing to say.
We have, by my count, 11 DL drafted in the past decade, and four in the past five years. We are sure to get three or four more next year. There are eight Clemson Tigers currently on an NFL roster as a DL.
I count five from SC in the last decade and only Clowney in the past five years. There are two SC players currently in the NFL listed as DL. One is Clowney and the other is Marquavius Lewis. And no one would argue that SC “developed” Clowney, or even that his NFL career has lived up to its potential (at this point). Lewis is an UDFA who hasn’t played.
As others have said, I don’t fault a kid for going somewhere else, but if you do, don’t throw jabs at a program whose coaches no doubt recruited you in good faith...but if you must take a jab, don’t be so laughably wrong. Two minutes in front of Google would show you how ignorant that comment is. And as someone else said, it sounds like something the SC coaches put into his head. If that’s true, how embarrassing to both their coaches for having to lie and to the recruit and his family to just believe it.
