Having only watched highlights and never having coached

football before, I can tell you that we need to start Trevor Lawrence. I haven't been to practice or in the meeting rooms, but I clearly know more than our coaching staff about which QB should play. If they start Kelly Bryant it means they don't know what they're doing. It's so obvious.

That's why starting Cole Stoudt against Georgia was so awesome. And then after Deshaun Watson threw a laser strike into the endzone right past a defender's ear hole, he gets benched until the game is out of hand. Because I'm no football coach I really can't have any opinion on the coaches' decisions. Even after seeing later what Watson was capable of. I just can't have any opinion whatsoever. And, anyone who even questions that a similar situation might come up again is foolish because these coaches won a National Championship. Remember? Duh.
And don't even bring up starting KB2 against Syrexcuse last year, much less keeping him in while obviously hurt and unable to even drive a yard to get a first down. Until he gets knocked unconscious. Because the coaches do NOT play favorites and only do what they think gives us the best chance to win. Anyone questioning these coaches is not a Tiger fan and just a coot troll.

I know right? They realized that DW4 was so mentally weak and mighty UGA such a psychotically challenging assault on such a child's fragile eggshell mind that only throwing him in at the end to be destroyed was exactly the kind of nurturing that reaped those wonderful benefits later. Genius.

they were worried that our fanbase would turn on a QB who has one poor performance and would make life hard for him, even though he shows up to practice, works hard, and wins tons of ballgames.

Yeah, in 2014 we were spoiled and had such unreasonable expectations for a QB because of course we were. Tajh kind of ruined it for those that came after him.

Dabo has been wrong before, and will be again.

Everyone is free to question his decisions and express their opinions. It is still absolutely absurd for anybody on Tigernet, at this point, to suggest they know better than Dabo who the starting QB should or should not be (and that was what the OP was posting about). It is downright laughable.

Good thing we start with Furman...

The real discussion should center around who starts against aTm.
We don’t have enough info at this point to make that call.
It will play out and we will be in a good spot.

You don't bench a returning starter, who led his team to 12 wins, a conference championship, and the playoff in his first real season, for a true freshman in week 1.. simple as that.
Now if the true freshman goes on to prove that he's that much better in actual live game action, as DW4 did, that's one thing. But the idea that TL could or should be the week 1 starter is ridiculous.

KB second guessers know he isn't the type of passing threat or pocket presence that DW4 was, therefore has a very slim chance of being able to beat a team like Alabama which requires a complete QB. KB2 is not a complete QB. He is a great runner and a decent passer. Most people who 2nd guess KB2 want to be able to take advantage of the tremendous amount of talent we have on defense right now and in the skill positions on offense to try to win another national championship. KB2 second guessers support KB2. Everyone wants him to play better, but the 2nd guessers know he has probably hit a ceiling in his passing ability and is the reason they want to see TL or HJ or CB have a chance to prove their passing ability and their pocket presence. No one is saying they know more than the coaches. I'm sure the coaches are going to make the best decision they can off of what they have seen, and what they see is in practice. We don't see practice, we see games. Last year we saw that ZC was absolute garbage in games but all we heard was about how good he was in practice. Since we don't see TL or HJ in practice we want to see them in games instead of KB2 to know how their abilities compare to what we are given in KB2.

What happens if KB plays the whole game Vs TAM and we lose. Is he still the starter the next week, I mean he does know the playbook the best
