Your Opinion: Is Winston Guilty enough to be gone?

Sep 6, 2014, 9:50 AM

This is one of those "hunches"...I'll open with the typical disclaimer of "no proof" blah blah..and "innocent until proven"..blah blah..

I just think this kid is bad new and he has probably done more than we know about....

I want to play FSU at their best but I don't want any person outside of smoking a little weed or getting drunk and taking a much needed pisss in public to play on any team..

What say you? Is he just a misunderstood kid that is under the microscope that does things all typical college kids do or is he bad news?

He probably fits in somewhere between oj Simpson and ray lewis

Winston will definitely be gone...

Sep 6, 2014, 10:02 AM

to the draft.

Winston is a turd in the septic tank called FSU. Great school, no moral compass when it comes to signing football talent. It was obvious from the news reports that FSU influenced the Winston rape investigation.

Yep -

Sep 6, 2014, 10:07 AM

Respect the OP's question, but it's a moot point.

Public opinion doesn't matter - he will play this year and be highly drafted if he wants to come out for the 2015 draft.

Agreed! And I think so much less of Jimbo Fisher for it. It says a lot about his character, or lack thereof, IMO.

U don't know these kids from sliced bread but yet choose to talk about them. If Watson was in this situation would you give him the benefit of the doubt or come up with some ignorant fable on why he's guilty to?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Benefit of the doubt on one issue....yes...several? Hmmmmmm

Sep 6, 2014, 10:25 AM

At Clemson, I seriously doubt that a pattern of events would be allowed to occur and still be allowed to play as Winston has......

Winston is a slime bucket because of the video.

Sep 6, 2014, 11:47 AM [ in reply to Re: Your Opinion: Is Winston Guilty enough to be gone? ]

Anybody that gets his "boys" to video him in the "act" is a total slime bucket.

If I was the girl's father, Mr. Winston would have gotten a nice visit from me.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Guilty! But, it's her fault. The way she was dressed

Sep 6, 2014, 10:12 AM

with those rubber bands around her claws. He HAD to steal her.

if they didn't have Winston

He's guilty or not. Like pregnancy, it is one or the other.

Sep 6, 2014, 10:22 AM

He might not have had enough credibility of witnesses or enough unpaid witnesses or whatever, but he either DID or DID NOT: rape that woman...steal the burger king soda...shoot out windows...steal the crablegs...et cetera.

Yeah...that program imo is more rogue than the u back when they were "The U".

"Guilty enough". Wow.

Sep 6, 2014, 10:37 AM

In these responses the criminal justice system is thrown under the bus, the word of lawyers (which I am) whose clear goal is a well timed civil suit is taken as gospel, and the fact that the kid is great is paramount (none of you would give a rodent's posterior if this kid played for some crappy team at some boring position).

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't think it's the criminal justice system, as much as

Sep 6, 2014, 10:44 AM

the pattern of events around Winston. I agree with you, in that "innocent until proven guilty."

However, the problem is you have a high profile kid at a high profile university. Any allegations of wrongdoing will bring scrutiny... HOWEVER, in this case, there is a clear pattern of wrongdoing, trouble, character questions.

I think that leads to the greater scrutiny and questions of FSU's motives rather than the rule of law.

"I've been working since I was 15 continually until now. I worked 40 hours a week at 15, when it wasn't even legal for 15 year olds to work that many hours."

who knows?

Sep 6, 2014, 11:04 AM

Her lawyer was pretty incensed...and after hearing her list of grievances about how the investigation was handled, I can't say I blame her. Certainly there was some huge procedural impropriety by the Tally PD at the very least...which does not look good for Winston, though on the other hand it might have also stopped Winston from clearing his name.

Innocent or guilty, the police did not handle that in even remotely the right way, and that's going to bite them.

Spoken like a Lawyer.............That Supports FSU***

I think money makes the world go around it's taken a lot to shut that girl up. That's all ,the girl got paid and Winston goes free.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Auburn or LSU will be glad to take him

Sep 6, 2014, 11:48 AM

just ask Cam, Nick, and Zach, who were kicked off other teams for legal problems.
