So Trevor wore a mask/covering all the time

So much for that mythical theory of prevention. Sorry. Somebody had to say it. He did grab and pull it up a lot. I heard somewhere over 90% of mask wearers catch it and I’m in the health field as well. What a joke

The mask is to keep people sick with it from spreading it. Washing hands and not wiping your nose and mouth is what helps you from getting it.

According to Uncle Joe the science guy, you take the mask off and cough or sneeze into your hand. This must be correct.

Sweden never had any mask laws. Been almost 100 days since they have 6 or more deaths in a day throughout the whole country.
UK has had much more stringent mask laws, even outside. And look at the results.
So, if we are being rational and thinking independently, must we not deduce that mask laws don't make a difference?
Add on the fact that the vast majority of scientific research on this very topic suggests that masks don't effect the transmission of flu-like viruses. Do these facts not matter? Ask yourself why you believe what you believe.

No offense intended to you P&G, but

I don’t understand why some people have such a hard time with the concept of mask wearing and insist on inserting their politics into such a small inconvenience. I bet you hold doors open for people, let people people in front of you in traffic, would not hesitate to be a Good Samaritan if you saw a stranger in trouble etc... but wearing a mask to reduce the risk of spreading a virus that has killed >200 K people in the US is just a bridge too far?
Again, no offense to you intended.
On a more fun note, I can’t wait to see what DJ can do tomorrow. The silver lining is that at least Trevor didn’t test positive immediately before the ND game.

The only time I have a hard time with the concept of mask wearing is when I go into my bank to make a large unauthorized withdrawl. P.S.By withdrawl I mean my wife says I can't have it.

The people politicizing everything especially Covid are the Democrats and people on the left and the main stream media. And scientist actually do say masks are only marginally effective and it depends on the situation. The CDC even has published studies questioning the efficacy of a mask. We know very little relatively speaking about Covid and scientist have flip-flopped the entire time and there are literally tons of scientist very credible scientist in America and around the world that she’ll very solid evidence and statistics and scientific reasoning why everything people like you in the left and the mainstream media is saying is patently false and incorrect! But keep believing what the Democrats in the mainstream media tell you! Because they would never lie right? I mean Hunter and Joe Biden are just every day citizens right? The Clinton foundation and the Clintons they’re not corrupt right? Only Trump and only Republicans are corrupt. Those Democrats are such saints and the mainstream media they’re all so amazing and honest!

I don't buy what you are selling

First of all.. I lean republican or at least I used to. Trump has changed that until the republican party gets it's act back together. So your assumption that I must be some lefty communist that buys everything MSNBC reports is wrong.
Secondly... Masks became a political issue because the far right media stoked the "you can't infringe on my liberties" argument and Trump saw a chance to pour gasoline on it because, well, that is pretty much all he knows how to do. If that had not happened, masks would be a non-issue.
Thirdly... Of course masks aren't 100% fool proof in preventing the spread of covid. Just like a seat belt doesn't prevent all injuries in car accidents. But what they most certainly do is lower the risk. I agree that in the beginning the guidance from the health agencies was confusing, but honestly, there is simply no question about it now.
Finally... I don't expect we will agree on everything, and that is perfectly OK with me. I am sure you are a good person that only wants the best for our country. But one thing that I hope we can agree on is... GO TIGERS, Beat BC!

Gaiters typically far less effective than 2-3 layer cotton..

mask. When I in-person voted yesterday, there was a poll worker who had on a gaiter. I could actually see his mustache through the material. People who wear most gaiters might as well wear a panty hose over their head. Those see-through plastic face sheilds are an even bigger joke. For the most part, if you are not wearing a 2 to 3 layer (not cheese cloth) cotton mask or similar disposable facemask, or wearing your facemask with your your nose out, or nursing a drink/snack to "play the system" so you can not wear your facmask, YOU may have given Trevor COVID-19. Thanks you selfish buttheads.

I love the gaiters. I started wearing them several years ago to keep some of the dust and crap out of my nose when cutting grass. It doesn't keep all of the dust out of my nose but it's not as bad when I'm through. I know the gaiter wouldn't keep any virus from entering me but I wear them anyway just because it's compliant and who's going to argue with that?

That’s one thing that makes it so pointless to ever wear them at all.
For example: Why do you have to wear it when you walk into a restaurant, if you’re gonna take it off when you’re smacking your food? Makes no sense at all. It’s all about everyone just wanting to look like they’re trying to help.
