Hey everyone,
As the clock ticks down to my birthday tomorrow, I'm feeling a bit selfish, but hear me out. I'd like to gather all of you, whether you're pumpers or dumpers, for a chat about our upcoming showdown against Syracuse this Saturday.
Let me kick things off with a little trip down memory lane. Back in the ancient days of 1993, when I was a young undergrad, I embarked on a co-op journey with ABB in Athens, GA as an Electrical Engineer intern (yes, I know, I'm getting up there in years).
Now, here's where it gets interesting. My co-worker at the time happened to be a Clemson student hailing from upstate NY. Despite donning the Clemson colors, he couldn't stop raving about how Syracuse had a better football program than Clemson. To top it off, he had a car and a lead foot, which made our commute to work a white-knuckle experience.
Needless to say, he wasn't the most pleasant of individuals, and that experience left me with an enduring dislike for Syracuse.
So, as we gear up to face Syracuse this weekend, let's unite under the banner of our beloved Tigers and show them what we're made of!

Happy Birthday. I think Clemson is a good FB team waiting to happen. Against FSU I thought they looked good except for a few plays. I feel they are close to getting their swag back.
I'm looking for a 11-2 team heading into 2024.

I got to see Syracuse play once in the Gator Bowl. They whipped our Tigers 41-0 with Donovan McNabb and Marvin Harrison.
I was convinced the Tigers had been out all night partying, but in any case it was one of those days where nothing went right for the good guys.
I'll be watching on TV this week hoping our Tigers can play a complete game and not beat themselves.

An A-whole who was a Syracuse graduate, once upon a time. I told him about the most miserable football game I ever attended in Jacksonville. Wouldn’t you know it, the guy actually played on the Cuse team that creamed us! Another reason not to like the Yankee boy.
