5 Reasons we lost and none are coaching.

Do I like the shotgun on short yardage-no. However this loss is not on the coaches. They put us in position to win on multiple occasions and the players made crucial mistakes. We were ready to play and played hard and to the end. Dabo did just what we wanted with the QB situation and that it worked. If just ONE of these does not happen we win, JUST ONE:
1. Don't throw a sure touchdown pass at the TE's feet 2. Don't miss an easy FG 3. Don't hike the ball 20 yds. over the QB's head on the one yard line. 4. Don't miss another easy FG 5. Don't fumble on the 10 yard line with 1:36 on the clock.

I agree. In a close ball game, missing easy FGs usually equals a loss.

It's definitely Dabo and Chad's fault on the bad snap. If they wouldn't have let our starting center get hurt, none of this happens.........There needs to be an age requirement for posters.

You so make the case for coaching and don't even realize it.
1. if Watson is in that pass isn't at his feet. 2. #1 takes care of your #2 3. Under center at half yd line no bad snap. 4. #3 takes care of your #4 5. game in hand and everything on the line and you give the ball to a former walk on at rb.
All coaching!

You just listed...

You listed what differentiates the winners from the losers, the elite from the average.
Winners find ways to get out of tough situations.
Losers find ways to lose even when the odds are in their favor.
I believe we were in the "redzone" 6 times, twice of which we came away empty because of the "shotgun" decision (in my opinion).
I'm sorry, but I'm still baffled at the fact that we were in shotgun formation with inches from the goal line.
Dumb!
I've heard Swinney being accused of being arrogant, but I hope he starts thinking soon about game situations. Surely, he was seeing the ball was getting snapped high on several occasions. Maybe he should have adjusted. Maybe. I mean that is what we paid him millions to do...to make smart decisions

Ok so here is what I saw. We had a true freshman playig qb against the best team in the nation. He played well. We had mostly freshman at the skill positions. We turned the ball over once. A young first time starter missed a couple field goals. Yes mistakes were made but you have to remember that was the number one defense in the nation last year. Not as good this year so far but still pretty good. My point is that offensively we are going to get better. This is a completely revamped line. They will improve. TEs played pretty we but McCoullogh looks the part and will get better. The defense looked like when I was in school under Danny. They were mean and aggressive. Let's don't lose sight of the good things here. We shouldn't lose another game and by the time we play sc we should be much more experienced and ready for it. Next year look out.

The fumble by cj was a good play by their AA dt. The rest were us cramping the bed...whether it be mentally or physically. Nothing to do with FSU. That's on the coaches

we were up 7 and 8 minutes to go instead of running it up the middle then we would pick up first downs and eventually score a td and be up 14 with hardly any time left on clock....did not keep FSU off balance by running right, running left, throwing quick slants or screens....very basic vanilla play calling.
JUST TERRIBLE.....

I walked 5 miles this morning (daily workout) and with each mile,I came up with the same exact 5 reasons !!!!!! along with the fact, Alexander fell down on coverage of the FSU passing TD***---- we shot ourselves in the foot (5) times******and the only defensive slip up of the night**_________now,we have to win the next NINE(9) and carry on !!!!!! GO TIGERS !!!!!!!
