Question about Sling TV

WE are doing the free trial now. Their website says ESPNU is included in Orange package. But we don't get it and we bought Orange AND Blue package. Their chat person says we must pay $10 more per month for sports extra. But when you go to the web page chat girl directed us to it says its $5 per month more. What's the deal? Does Sling have a phone number?

Had sling through most of the regular season, had too many buffering issues for me. Switched to Hulu live(it’s a little more), had no issues while watching the Sugar Bowl.

I asked them the same thing. Go to sling.com/service to see what you get. The home page you were looking at is just an example AKA false advertising.

PlayStation Vue + Antenna you’ll be at $39.99 per month + one time purchase of antenna and FireStick. Been very happy with Vue and it allows the most simultaneous streams compared to Sling and all the others.

PlayStation Vue is what I have and I'm very happy with it since the sports options are the best of the internet TV providers (at least from what I saw). It obviously helped that I already had a PlayStation, but you can use it with any of the Amazon/Google/Roku machines. I had Comcast previously, was paying $185/mo for a bunch of channels I didn't use + 250 mb/s internet. Now I have CenturyLink internet at 1 gb/s and PS Vue, and I pay about $40 less per month while having access to more sports than I did with Comcast.

you can get it though the watch ESPN app which you get login access to with sling orange. Silly that they do not have an ESPNU channel in their lineup.
no buffering issues here, that probably depends more on your ISP.

Yea, if you're going to make the commitment to cutting the cord, you gotta make sure the ISP is beefed up enough to handle it. I do a decent amount of online gaming, so I went overboard with the internet to make sure I wouldn't run into issues in the event I'm playing a game while my wife and/or father in law are watching TV in another room.

I've had Sling for the last 3 seasons

Had very few buffering issues the last two seasons. I've had a couple issues with "blackouts" for Clemson games, but can always switch over to WatchESPN app (which has a few more buffering issues) to watch when that occurs.
The "Sports Extra" package cost depends on the package you have. If you just have the Orange or Blue (not both) then the cost is $5 a month, but comes with different channels. If you have both, as you mentioned, then the cost is $10 since you have to buy both sets of additional channels.
Overall, I really like it as long as you have a good Antenna with it. Or as I've done this year, get the very basic (non-HD) cable package with your internet and use that to sign into the apps for all the other channels you do watch, which will be in HD. Cost was actually cheaper than just internet, and get many of the channels I would've had on the Blue package (just have Orange package) just by signing into the different apps.

ESPNU is not included in the base package

Its in the sports extra for the Orange package and does indeed cost $10.
This is a rough breakdown of the packages as far as sports are concerned.
Orange - ESPN and ESPN 2 Blue - FS1, FS2, and Fox regional channels Sports extra - SEC Network, ESPNU, bunch of Pac 12 channels, NBATV, NHL network, BEIN Sports, etc
I had Orange + sports extra for orange during football season. I didn't have the fox channels, but Clemson games never come on fox anyway, and if you know anybody with a cable or direct tv sub that will give you their password you can use the fox streaming app to get that stuff anyway.
I now have Orange + Blue for basketball season since a lot of our games come on the fox regional channel. I dropped the sports extra package. I might not get the occasional game that comes on ESPNU, but, again, if you know somebody that will give you their login you can watch those with ESPN3 app.
