so we host #8 seed Columbia on Friday at 5:30. #5 Iowa plays #4 Georgia at 2 that day, also at Riggs. Kinda like a regional. Winners face each other on Sunday.

Interesting how in the men's tournament they just play all games through the elite 8 at the homefield of the higher seed for each specific matchup, but in the women's tournament they use the regional format and group 4 teams together and bring them all to the campus of the highest seed instead of just letting the other 2 play their game on the campus of whichever of those 2 teams is higher seeded.

but not the first round.

Doesn't seem like the best format. The neutral site matches wont't get anywhere near the crowds that they would get at a host team.
