I have no idea how they will reign this insanity in at this point, but the money pit will soon dry up as all that is being handed out will return very little on the "investment".
It was always a slippery slope, but unregulated it is a nightmare.

would have to entail a combination of some sort of developmental league for the NFL coupled with University presidents actually having some respect for the intent of their institutions and foregoing massive TV contracts in order to get the legal coverage to return to a reasonable structure. But like I said...that won't happen.

At this point, I really think the only hope for saving college football is for the sport to crash and burn. Then, I hope, some sort of reset. It would be a great shame to lose the sport that we loved the most, but that's surely what is happening right now. I'm sorry, but there has to be some connection between the players and school other than the name on the jersey for it to be College Football.
