Yankees-Mets

Jul 4, 2021, 9:32 PM

So I just watched the last of Yankees-Mets game. It ended after 6.5 innings. I thought games always went 9 innings (or at least 8.5). Who can explain?

Double headers are 7 innings. Been that way since ‘76.

I jest but it’s true in 2020.

I think Double headers games are only 7 innings each so if the home team is ahead after 6.5, the game is over.
