Why can Mexicans cross the border but if they ride in a

truck to cross the border the truck driver is charged with human trafficking? To me the driver is simply helping them cross over safely. Many Mexicans die in the dessert from lack of water.
Granted some of the truckers don’t consider safety a high priority but many do.

Because we don't want to make it easier for them. The trucks would be loaded with these people at all times.

I met some immigrants once when I lived in Washington. Anyway, this family of 5 travels the US and follows the seasons. They pick apples in Washington a certain time of year and then go elsewhere. It's a circuit that they all figure out. If the goal is to really live and thrive in the US, many of the parents just wok their butts off knowing that they will never do well, but it is for their kids, so they will be a maid etc. Their kids will be successful and build solid lives. They knows that is not reality where they came from, generally.

I taught a lot of the kids over the years. Give me a room full of them. They know it’s their ticket to a much better life.

The peach picking crack was a little insensitive but we do take advantage of their situation by getting them to do the schyatt jobs.
