That beast has nothing but a speed rush. He actually got passed the LT one one occasion today. Lewan ate his lunch all day. If you notice that when a team runs straight at Clowney, he can't handle it. Is he good , yeah. Is he great, as a speed rusher, yeah. But as the total package DE? Not yet. He had what 8 sacks through 11 games? Clemson, handed him the Hendricks. Yeah, that's world beater. Not so much.

Just check out his complete stat sheet for the season. 53 total tackles. 13.0 Sacks, 22.5 TFL in 13 games. GOod numbers. Sacks and TFL #s are outstanding but he avg's right at 4 total tackles a game. Kinda reminds me of Lavar Arrington. If he isn't doing something spectacular, he isn't doing anything. Makes very few solo tackles and gets smoked when teams come right at him. I take nothing away from him at all. Good player and will be great but not world beater right now. I have seen both play and I actually like Stephon Tuitt from ND as more of a cmplete package. Tuitt is not as fast but gets to the ball quick and is MUCH better against the run. Clowney is nothing but a speed pass rusher that this point.

Did you add in how many HOLDING calls he had called?
You are nuts if you don't think Clowney is the real deal.
He might not win the Heisman next year, but he will be the #1 draft pick. He would be the #1 choice this year if he could come out.
He changed the momentum of that game, especially after the horrible call the ref just made. I could stick my thumb between the ball and the 1st down marker.
Bad calls are bad calls. Even the Michigan coach was smiling about it.

Some of you people's inability to recognize talent tells me that if you ever had a fantasy football team, that it would be one suck a** team! Funny how you think you know so much more than the number of HCs, OCs , and broadcasting experts who say Clowney is one of the greatest defensive lineman to come out of college football in years. How astute of you to recognize the "all you have to do is run straight at him" solution that apparently has alluded those that have had to play against him for the past two years. You're all wasting you talents - apply for a general manager's job in the NFL.
