Plus he’s replacing the better driver at Ferrari. Hamilton and LeClerc will be worse than they are this year.

Or under the safety car, as it were? I guess they need to send a positive message no matter what.

Russell hasn't performed much better, so it does seem like the car to a degree. It's odd to me that Ferrari would replace Sainz with a driver who's ten years older and past his prime.
