I wish APM were here, we could discuss lil Hammy not getting out of Q2 and 3/3 on getting outqualified by Russell this season

Sainz has impressed me. Racing an entire F1 race (and out-qualifying LeClerc) a week after an appendectomy takes some stones.

### is Ferrari doing? The only non Red Bull winner in 2023 and 2024 is Sainz. And they are canning him for Hamilton? I think Hamilton is done. He'll win here or there in Ferrari, but his prime is over.

A championship winning car but they need that extra 5% of development.

Hamilton has never won in a car that wasn’t a gold-plated race winner the minute he sat in it. Clearly development input is a weakness of his, as he’s been zero help for the current car. I don’t see him helping Ferrari develop the car any more than he’s helped Merc the past couple seasons, and could lead them backwards chasing his favored setup.

OTOH, if Merc gets Alonso as anticipated, that could help Mercedes greatly to get out of the hole they are in

Dude brings a ton of fanbois with him. For better or worse he’s a brand and the Ferrari stock price took a huge jump after he was announced.

I agree with you though, he’s gonna be toxic for the team and the race results will suffer.

Rumor has Alsonso as a lock for Mercedes which means Sainz could replace Perez or could go to Aston. I think the former would be seriously interesting.
