Clemson has reached out to OL that have entered the portal and is getting shutout. What is your understanding of what if happening? TIA

that we are offering portal players compared to what a lot of other teams are offering.

Recruiting in the transfer portal is different than recruiting hs kids and we’re gonna have to change our philosophy before we start landing any decent portal players.

Seems like we are still getting some 5 star studs out of high school. We aren’t getting outbid there.

Sounds like a cop out but it’s the truth. We aren’t giving these kids the bag upfront, and we don’t promise starting spots. It’s easier to sell this philosophy to high school recruits, portal players have an agenda. We will just have to find the right guys with the right priorities. It’s just a lot harder to do with kids/men who have been in programs for 2-3 years and know how it all works.

HLRT, Is there a legal way for the schools to be paying the players up front? My thought is no but, I want to see if you have another opinion. TIA
