Maybe Mercer got scared and canceled last minute just like Norvell did to us in 2020.

Our roster is pretty thin but yeah I would think just one

Being out wouldn’t be an issue. We need minimum 6 to play a match. Technically you can ply with 5 but would have to forfeit #3 doubles and #6 singles to start

why is our roster so thin? I don’t know a lot about college tennis but surely people would want to play tennis at Clemson.

Womens tennis gives out 8 scholarships

So usually you’ll see women’s teams have 8 or 9 players max. Rarely do you see players who get less than a full on the roster. So it’s actually kinda common for women’s teams to have little depth or wiggle room

Meanwhile men’s tennis only gets 4.5 scholarships and splits them up and it actually leads to larger rosters of usually 10-12 players.
