Graded a 6.16 which they say means he would be a good backup with the potential to develop into a starter. Sounds like a late rd draft pick. Maybe he should have come back for one more year. Hope it works out for him.

Another poor decision to leave college early for the NFL. Dabo has told them over and over unless you are a first round lock you need to stay back.

He’s not wrong. First team all American all purpose back. I guess you forgot about all the electric kickoff returns? One of the highest averages in the country. Granted, he’s an ok running back. But, he could be a special teams all pro just like many before him. They aren’t as well known but play a huge role. He could be that player. I dont see him as a RB1 or even a RB2. I could see him as a return specialist.

Coming back for another year would not have changed any of that.

Shipley's strengths and weaknesses are well known and documented. The key for him now will be getting with the right team where he is a good fit, where he can grow and develop. Plus he's got to stay healthy. I agree he has potential.
